Steve Barry has been elected Chairman of the Spark Angel’s Board of Directors.
“Steve is a well-established entrepreneur and recognized business leader in our community” commented Malcolm MacTaggart, Executive Director of the Spark Angel Network. “He built a successful electrical contracting business in his 20’s, before taking over the family business, Sure Fit Home Furnishing Ltd. He significantly grew the business, opening international offices and factories while employing over 100 staff . Sure Fit Home Furnishing Ltd held 90% share of the furniture slipcover market in Canada and supplied branded and private label home decor products to major retailers in Canada and United states.
Steve sold Sure Fit Home Furnishing Ltd in 2010 and has since focused his energy on commercial real estate development and private business investment, as well as playing an active role in the Ajax/Pickering business community. He owns of Fairall Properties Ltd, Elm Stone Investments, and Beacon Bay International.
